Dr Elenora Fedoneko

Born and raised in Ukraine when still part of the Soviet Union, Eleonora Fedonenko was drawn to medicine from a young age, inspired by her family's medical background. Her journey into the medical profession was as rich and diverse as her skill set. Before pursuing her medical dreams, she acquired a Bachelor's Degree in Classical Music, with special emphasis on the piano.

Ella completed her medical studies at the highly respected Dnipro State Medical University in eastern Ukraine before relocating to Los Angeles in the early 1990s. Her career in America began with a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Roanoke-Salem, VA, in 1995. This included a notable stint at the Veterans Hospital Medical Center in Salem, VA, where she garnered recognition for the exceptional patient care she administered. One patient even wrote to his state senator, demanding that she be assigned to his case!

During her residency,0 Ella was recognized as a skillful and patient teacher, culminating in her receiving the Resident Teaching Award in her final year. She completed her residency in 1998 and embarked on a role as a Primary Care Physician at an urgent care facility in Roanoke, VA. Here, she honed the fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination required for the intricate procedures that are a daily part of working in a busy urgent care setting. She also developed a reputation for her attentive and diligent patient care.

Eventually, the allure of Los Angeles brought Ella back to the West Coast, where she started a medical practice with her husband, David, also a primary care physician. However, she soon found herself missing using the tactile skills she had developed earlier in her career. This led her to explore the field of non-surgical cosmetic procedures.

Driven by her passion for blending art and science, Ella and her husband founded YourLaserSkinCare, a dedicated practice for non-invasive cosmetic procedures, providing a comfortable, professional setting for their clients.

Ella (as she prefers to be called) is extremely passionate about the practice of non-invasive procedures that she offers. She uses her artistic and medical backgrounds, her patient care skills, and the manual dexterity that she's developed over many years, to confidently and expertly guide patients (many of whom are new to the world of cosmetic procedures) to select the most applicable procedure (or procedures) for their particular needs, and to perform each procedure most efficiently and optimally.

If you ask Ella to summarize her abilities, she uses the terms "combining science and art", and "using a fine touch"; many of the glowing patient testimonials she's accumulated back this up. Patients report that she patiently takes time to educate them about treatment options fully, ensures that they're aware of all issues, and performs procedures quickly, confidently, and expertly. Artistic ability is vital when performing cosmetic procedures; a primary objective is to create natural-looking results. Dr. Ella is 100% committed to this goal.

Having a fully medically qualified and experienced doctor perform each procedure is your guarantee that every patient will be fully and wholly evaluated beforehand and that each patient's personal medical condition will be taken into consideration when deciding on the best treatment plan. Dr. Ella's 35+ years of experience as a medical practitioner makes her more than qualified.

Beyond her medical practice, Ella is a devoted explorer. She and her husband have traversed the Arctic Circle, visited the Galapagos Islands, explored Madagascar, and journeyed through Cambodia, Malaysia, and numerous African nations. She also hikes regularly, is a keen theatre and cinema-goer, enjoys visiting museums, and somehow still finds time to attend basketball and hockey games whenever she can. Dr Ella has seemingly inexhaustible energy and enthusiasm.

At YourLaserSkinCare, you'll find a multilingual team, fluent in English, Spanish, Russian, Armenian, and Vietnamese, providing a warm, efficient, and comfortable environment. Dr. Ella investigates every new injectable product and is committed to offering her patients access to the full range of available products. Here, you are guaranteed a comprehensive evaluation prior to treatment and a personalized treatment plan drawing upon Dr. Ella's years of experience and deep understanding of cosmetic procedures.

While pregnant, women typically have a lot more on their minds than excess body hair. The extensive hormonal changes that accompany pregnancy often bring unwanted hair growth, sometimes in quantities and places that you might not normally expect. Although this is not always the case, many women experience increases in hair growth on the face, neck, stomach, breasts, lower and upper back, and several other areas. The growth may not...
Most people understand the need to wear sunscreen in the height of the summer, but we find far less awareness of the need to continue to wear protection at other times of the year. Even here in Los Angeles, where we are pretty much guaranteed copious sunlight throughout the entire year, there’s a widespread belief that you only really need protection when the sun is burning hot. Nothing could be...
When looking for ways to reduce or eliminate fine lines or wrinkles, you’ll find that there are two commonly-used ways to address these problems: dermal fillers or Botox. Sculptra is a widely-used injectable product that “fills in” facial lines, while Botox is an injectable neurotoxin that can relax the facial muscles that are causing the lines. Unsurprisingly both strategies have their strengths and weaknesses; today, we’re going to explore where...
Woman undergoing laser hair removal
Laser hair removal uses finely-tuned laser light pulses to damage (and eventually destroy) the hair “root” or follicle.  Professional practitioners’ actual apparatus varies but typically uses a YAG laser to create and focus laser light pulses – a similar technique, known as IPL (intense Pulsed Light), is also available. However, it is somewhat less effective on thick, coarse hair. One characteristic shared by laser and IPL hair removal is that...
Continuing our recent focus on varicose veins, we’re moving to try to dispel several of the more commonly encountered varicose vein myths. Given the potential long-term problems associated with untreated varicose veins, these are well worth tackling. Varicose Veins are Just a Cosmetic Problem Varicose veins are, without question, a cosmetic problem in almost every case. However, given the range of possible health problems that can be responsible for causing...
Woman's legs
Varicose veins are visible symptoms of poorly functioning valves that allow blood to circulate in the “wrong” direction. The immediate result is increased pressure on blood vessels walls, leading to damage and weakening of the blood vessels, resulting in the twisty and enlarged veins that characterize the condition. Common Causes  Varicose veins can be caused by a variety of different medical conditions that can affect blood circulation, including genetic predisposition...
Collagen is found in the body’s various types of connective tissue, including skin, cartilage, tendons, and ligaments. Collagen forms dense fibers that provide support, strength, and cushioning – the collagen within our skin is mainly responsible for the elasticity, resiliency, smoothness, and volume of our skin. Collagen production starts to slow down as we age, starting in our early 30’s. As collagen levels decrease, we can begin to develop fine...
Injectable dermal fillers are relatively well-known as effective ways to address lost facial volume and lines or wrinkles. Laser skin tightening is a more recent technique that can be used in several situations to achieve similar results. This blog post discusses the circumstances when each technique is recommended.  Which situations are best handled by laser skin tightening? Laser skin tightening is an effective way to reduce or remove fine lines...
Our specialty is performing non-invasive cosmetic procedures, and we have extensive experience over a wide variety of different procedures. Non-invasive procedures share significant advantages over traditional cosmetic surgery procedures – they don’t require cutting into the skin. They avoid conventional surgical techniques that imply hospitalization, anesthetic, and considerable recovery times, to say nothing of pain and discomfort. Here’s a summary of our most popular non-invasive facial cosmetic procedures, with particular...
We’ve written several blog pieces covering the many advantages that CoolSculpting offers as a safe and effective way to remove fat selectively. Some readers have expressed concerns about how safe the CoolSculpting procedure is, so we’re concentrating on that subject today. Non-Invasive The most significant advantage that CoolSculpting offers is that it is entirely non-invasive, meaning that CoolSculpting is not a surgical procedure. It doesn’t require that patients are anesthetized,...
